Why Newslazer Asks for a Username and Password

Newslazer works directly with Eweka accounts. When the app starts up and prompts for your login, it's asking for your Eweka username and password so it can connect to the correct Usenet servers.

Enter Your Eweka Login

Use the same username and password you use on the Eweka website. This step verifies your access to the full range of Usenet newsgroups and article retention available through your account.

Preconfigured for Convenience

Newslazer is pre-set to use Eweka's servers. There's no need to configure server settings or connection details manually. Just enter your credentials the first time you open the newsreader and start accessing newsgroups.

If You See a Login Error

  • Make sure your subscription is still active

  • Try logging in on the Eweka website to confirm the credentials

  • Carefully retype both username and password, checking for spaces
