How to Use NZBGet on Android with Eweka

Follow these instructions to configure NZBGet with your Eweka account for secure Usenet access on Android.

Step 1: Install NZBGet and Set Up Daemon Access

  1. Open your Android browser and navigate to the official NZBGet website.

  2. Download the Android APK installer to your device.

  1. Use a file manager to open the APK. Enable installations from unknown sources if asked.

  2. Once installed, launch the NZBGet app.

  3. Tap Install Daemon.

  1. Choose Latest Stable to install the recommended version.

  1. A confirmation message will display once the setup is complete: "NZBGet daemon has been successfully installed."

Step 2: Start NZBGet and Open the Interface

  1. Inside the app, tap Start daemon.

  1. Once the daemon is running, tap Show web-interface or go to http://localhost:6789 in your browser.

  1. You may close the NZBGet app. The background service will remain active.

Step 3: Enter Eweka Server Details

  • Navigate to Settings > News-Servers and input:
  • Host: news.eweka.nl

  • Port: 563 (SSL) or 119 (non-SSL)

  • Username and password: Use your Eweka credentials

  • Connections: Up to 20

  • Encryption: Enable SSL for secure access

Step 4: Save Configuration and Restart

Confirm your settings and restart NZBGet to activate the configuration.
