1. We suggest starting the SABnzbd installation process via the website of SABnzbd.

  • You will need to have administrator permissions in order to run this installer application.
  • If you do not have administrator-level access, you are still able to run the installer as long as you have to write access to a location.  In cases where you are unable to acquire admin access, we suggest using the Windows ZIP-distribution file.
  • Once installed, continue to the next step.

2. Double-click on the desktop icon or search in the Start Menu for “SABnzbd”).  Once launched, the SABnzbd admin interface will appear.
3. Select your language preference, and continue.
4. Now you will need to fill out the news server information.  That information is:

  • Host: news.eweka.nl
  • Username: your assigned username, you will find this in your welcome email as well as in My Eweka
  • Password: Your selected password.  This is also the password for your Eweka account (eweka.nl website).
  • TLS Checkbox: If you are on a high-speed speed connection and a fairly recent computer, we usually suggest using the TLS option.  Do note that it can add additional processing overhead, especially on older computers.  If you are on a computer with lower processing power, we suggest deactivating this option.

5. Once you have entered your server login information, click next.
6. SABnzbd is now ready to begin downloading.

  • Begin this process by clicking on the top menu the plus symbol “+”.  This will let you add an NZB file directly into SABnzbd either from your computer or a URL.
  • For additional automation options, you can create a SABnzbd “Watch Folder”.  When you add NZB files to this folder, SABnzbd will automatically begin downloading the associated files.
  • To set your Watch Folder, click on the gear icon to open SABnzbd settings then navigate to the “Folder” menu.  Once there select your “Watched Folder” and confirm.
