Regaining Access to a Blocked Eweka Account

If your Eweka account has been temporarily blocked, it is usually due to repeated unsuccessful login attempts or automated access violations. This block is typically a security measure to protect your account.

Follow the steps below to regain access:

1. Wait Before Attempting to Log In Again

If multiple unsuccessful attempts have been made to log in or reset your password, stop all attempts for at least 15 minutes. The system may automatically lift the block once this period has passed.

2. Exit or Disable Your Newsreader

While your account is blocked, your newsreader may continue trying to connect in the background. Fully exit the application or set it to offline mode before proceeding. Continuing to send login requests may delay the unblock process.

3. Contact Eweka Support with the Required Information

If waiting and disabling your newsreader does not resolve the issue, please contact Eweka Support. Include the following details in your message:

  • Username: Your Eweka username or the email address associated with your account.

  • IPv4 Address: Your current IPv4 address. You can check this using a site like showmyip.com.

Once Support has this information, they will review your account and provide further instructions.

4. Prevent Future Blocks

To avoid repeated issues:

  • Make sure your newsreader is using the correct login credentials.

  • Avoid automated reconnection attempts if the account is inactive or expired.

  • Keep your password manager or stored credentials up to date.

If you continue to experience problems, reach out to the Support team for additional assistance.
