Tuning NZBGet for Better Speeds with Eweka
This article provides tips for improving NZBGet speed when using Eweka’s servers. While the platform is built for high-speed access, local and software-based tweaks make a difference.
1. Choose the Right Server Region
Eweka operates multiple server locations. Use the nearest one geographically to minimize latency and increase throughput.
2. Optimize Connections
Test between 8–40 SSL connections. Fewer high-quality connections often outperform large numbers of weaker ones.
3. Use the Latest NZBGet Version
Each update includes performance and stability improvements. Always install the latest version available.
4. Check Router and ISP Limits
Some routers throttle encrypted traffic. Enable QoS or bypass ISP limitations with alternate ports supported by Eweka.
5. Avoid Network Clutter
When possible, use a wired connection. If on Wi-Fi, reduce concurrent high-bandwidth activity during queue transfers.
6. Clean Up the Queue
Large queues with stalled items can slow things down. Remove any stalled or paused items regularly.
7. Monitor NZBGet Logs
Check logs for connection drops or slow responses from the Indexer. Address issues quickly to avoid prolonged slowdowns.
