Troubleshooting Login Authentication Failure

Possible Reasons for Authentication Failure

  1. Incorrect Credentials: Ensure that the username and password are entered correctly without any leading or trailing spaces or special characters.

  2. Account Inactivity: Check if your account is active by logging into your My Eweka dashboard. Inactive accounts due to cancellation or non-payment may prevent successful authentication.

  3. Newsreader Configuration: If the newsreader application is not providing the updated credentials to the server, you may encounter authentication issues.

  4. Incorrect Server Details: Verify that you are submitting the credentials to the correct server.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Manually Enter Credentials: Instead of copying and pasting, manually type in your username and password to avoid any hidden characters.

  2. Check Account Status: Log in to your My Eweka dashboard to confirm if your account is active and in good standing.

  3. Delete and Recreate Service Profile: In your newsreader application, delete the existing profile associated with the service, and then recreate it with the correct credentials.

  4. Verify Server Details: Ensure that you have the correct server details configured in your newsreader application.

If you continue to experience authentication issues after following these steps, please contact our support team for further assistance.
