How Many Connections Are Included With Eweka Accounts?

All Eweka accounts support up to 50 simultaneous Usenet connections. This limit allows users to make multiple server connections at once, which can help maintain optimal speed and stability when accessing Usenet articles.

Most users will find that using between 10 and 20 connections provides a good balance of speed and performance. However, those on faster Internet connections or accessing a larger volume of articles may benefit from increasing the number of connections.

Using too many connections may lead to slower speeds or errors. If performance drops or connection issues occur, try lowering the number of connections in your newsreader or automation software.

How to Adjust Your Connection Settings

Your newsreader or Usenet automation software will include a settings area where you can specify the number of connections. Look for options labeled "Connections," "Threads," or similar. Set this number to a value that works best for your Internet speed and usage habits.

If you're unsure where to adjust this setting, refer to your software’s documentation or support resources. You can also find information about configuring the most popular newsreaders in our Newsreader Setup Guides section

Additional Tips

  • Start with 10–20 connections and adjust as needed.

  • Avoid setting the number to the maximum unless required by your setup.

  • Monitor speed and stability after adjusting the number of connections.
